I use Albrights Supply in Corinth, Mississippi.  They have everything I need, and their pricing is pretty good.  Orders over $100.00 usually ship free.  Their site is:  http://www.albrightssupply.com.
They ship about anywhere, and are really great to deal with.  Check them out.

General Discussion / Re: Spray adhesive question

A good spray adhesive is the 3M General Trim Adhesive, 8088.  It sells at Walmart for less than $12.00 a can.  It's good stuff, it works for auto headliners, seat upholstery, carpets, just about anything you want glued.  It's in the automotive section, usually around the paint stripper in the spray can.  Give it a try.

Year One has the foam for a 1970 Satellite, and it looks pretty similar to what you need.  Check out http://www.yearone.com and take a look.

It looks like something called "Brisk thin", or "Brisk Extended".  Hope this helps.

General Discussion / Re: Pre made seat covers?

An alternative to the Katzkin site is this one:  http://www.roadwire.com.  Their prices are a bit lower, and the selection should be good.

Try this site: http://www.katzkin.com.  But be warned, they are not cheap.  They may run a couple of thousand for the covers.

General Discussion / Re: Pink Spots

So far, the Marine Spray 9 was tried with no results to speak of.  The fungicide hasn't been tried, but that may be next.  The cushions that are affected had additional foam padding added to increase the size and comfort.  I wouldn't think that would cause any problems, but I could be wrong, been there before.

The vinyl I used was Spradling Soft Side with their new permagard treatment.  It's supposed to make the vinyl easier to clean, but evidently doesn't prevent things like the pink spots from happening.  I'll try the cures given, saving the complete re-do for the last resort.  Thanks.

General Discussion / Pink Spots
July 27, 2012, 07:54:51 pm
I know that this subject has been discussed before, but I need some additional help.  I covered some cushions on a Century boat, and some of them have developed the dredded pink spots.  I remember that Marine Spray 9 was noted as a cure for this, but it didn't work on these spots.  I am open to almost anything, as is the owner, short of re-doing the covers.  Any ideas out there?

The standard glue used is Weldwood Landau top and trim adhesive.  You can use it on anything inside or outside of the car.  It's running about $100 or so for a 5 gal can these days.  What does work pretty good on the headliners is the 3M 8088 General Trim Adhesive in a spray can.  It's available at Walmart for less than $11 per can.  Use it like a contact adhesive, spray both surfaces and let it tack up, and it sticks.  I have used it for headliners and a lot more since the late '80s and haven't had any failures.  It's good stuff.

The Daytona carpet material is available from ACC.  They have it in 12 colors. Their site is http://www.accmats.com.

No, it's not Ferrari, just the logo that Century used on their boats. They are no longer in business, and all the parts and sundry items they had left over got crushed and trashed.  What a loss.

Actually, Nissan marketed a convertible SUV starting last year.  It was the Murano.  Range Rover is a little behind the curve on this one.
