Title: stripped out holes
Post by: RandyOnR3 on June 02, 2011, 08:53:08 am
learned this one years ago while doing canvas on wood boats.. and recently fixed the mounting screws on the underside of of a couple kitchen chairs..
The wife was re-installing the cushions on a couple chairs when she stripped out the screw holes on the wood seat.............
simple fix........take a couple tooth picks, dip them in elmers glue and tap them into the hole, and break off whatever is hanging out.. give them a few minutes to set up and re-install the screw..
It also works on those old wood boats where the snap studs pull from the wood..

By the way, wood match sticks will work as well.......
