Title: purging foam of sticky
Post by: RandyOnR3 on April 10, 2011, 03:09:32 pm
I've got a couple seats off of watercraft.. the seats are preformed foam so there is NO way to replace the foam short of many hours of work.. in the first atempt, the new vinyl is not sticking to the foam using the glue I started with, (clearco 444 from tri-vantage)... the foam must be contamanated.. so I need to clean the foam and start over...
Any Ideas..........................................

Many moons ago I recovered some cushions on a yatch that had sunk. Diesel and oil everywere. The shipyard didnt want to replace any of the foam. No preformed stuff here but what a mess. I wonder if some oil got into the foam?
