Title: Has anyone ever used the 100% cellulose woven materials?
Post by: Exotic Leather on March 29, 2011, 08:37:56 pm
We have been getting some interest in this woven fabric call Raphia? http://www.exoticleatherco.com/specialties/index.html (http://www.exoticleatherco.com/specialties/index.html) but I am hoping to see some pictures of it in actual use.

Please let me know if any of you upholstery officianados have used it or a product similar.

Thanks!

Can't say I have seen it.  So, is it a synthetic leather, made from woven cellulose?

I'd say it's closer to a vinyl, but as the description states, it's actually 100% cellulose.  It's a truly woven fabric, not a print or embossing technique.  Could be used for outdoor furniture or any number of other uses.
