Title: Jeep Convertible top repair
Post by: jsquail on February 24, 2011, 08:42:28 am
I had a customer email me today that she wants a repair on her convertible top to her Jeep. As i recall this top is in good shape except for a 2 inch rip on both sides of the top, near the front, over the doors.

has anyone ever repaired one of these and how? I would hate to break it more.

I would want to see it first before giving her an estimate. If it's old or weathered it verywell could be made worse, check the material for stiffness or brittleness. If she's after a cheap repair get some matching material and glue a patch on the backside using some HH 66 glue.
