Title: Pfaff 1245 Foot Problem
Post by: Park Ranger on November 23, 2010, 09:05:28 am
My Pfaff's secondary or vibrating foot makes contact with the lower feed dogs. There's no clearance under the foot for material to take up the shock, so the machine kind of hammers. This happens even with the minimum or maximum adjustment to the secondary foot.  Haven't taken it in for service yet. Kinda hoping I could get some advice first. Are there some adjustments that need to be made or is the condition normal for the 1245?  My owners manual doesn't address this directly.  Thanks for any advise I can get.

You can download a free copy of the Pfaff 1245/1246 Service Manual at

I think you will find the answer to your problem around page 15.
