Title: Foam prices
Post by: gene on January 17, 2019, 07:11:41 am
US Foam just sent me their new price sheet. They say they lowered their prices 20% to give back to the upholstery community.

They have been giving free shipping on orders east of the Rocky Mountains that are over $100.00 I haven't looked at their new price sheets yet so I can only assume that this is still the case. Check it out before you buy.

The sheet that I most commonly buy from US Foam is 6" X 30" X 108"  in 2.7 density 35 lbs. compression.

That sheet dropped from $162 down to $126 which reflects a drop of 22%.

As far as I know, no other foam suppliers have announced a price drop.

For $126 - that has to be about as low around - especially shipping prepaid!

A reupholstery shop needs a low price because consumers are not willing to pay high prices.

I work on a variety of types and observe consumers (the market).

Foam - most is still made from oil?
