I get a message saying to update my account.

I lost my profile picture about 6 months ago.

Darren:
I can see the chair in your post, but when I click on it, it takes me to your PB page where it says you need to update your account to enable 3rd party hosting.
Your avatar is blank.

Darren. K-dog:
Have you guys tried to update your PB accounts? Are they trying to get you to pay for an upgraded plan?

This is the first time I've tried Google Photo. Apparently you don't get a thumbnail but rather a link. Lets see how this works.

Good point. So I hit upgrade to see what would happen and got this message. "Tired of Ads? Go Ad Free today for only $2.49 a month!" Granted $2.49 a month is chicken feed but I've never been real crazy about the hoops you have to go through to get a picture uploaded and then copied to this forum. It's a pain.

Often when posting something on this forum I have to decide if I want to add a photo to go along with my post. If I'm tired and have had a long day I often say screw it and delete the whole thing.

Point is why would I want to pay for something I already can't stand using?

same here. The link does take me to the picture of my great niece's chair. Any body else tried it?

K-dog: Your Google link worked fine for me. But when I tried to link a Google drive pic a couple weeks ago, I got several e-mails asking for permission to view it.

I wonder if it's only those that don't have a google account that have to get permission?

Sofa D, that could be.  I have a personal google account and a business account. Both free. When I typed Google Photo into my browser it automatically opened in my personal account. They didn't even ask for a pass ward. Only three steps to upload a picture, easy peasy.

Photobucket is telling me that I have to be a plus 500 account member to put links of my PB pictures on other web sites and forums.

I'll try google photo.

Late to the party here
Darren i get to scroll right to left in many photos fine, i have a time seeing them any bigger. It seems the lower part of the screen is taking up room, partly the bucket i believe. Im not real familar with them.
Good day there

Here is what I figured out on how to use Google Photos.

1. Open your account and click on the picture you want to share.
2. When the picture opens in a new window you will see a symbol in the top right corner that looks like a pair of clackers (Dangerous toy from the 70's). When you hover over it it will say "share". Click on it.
3. A new window will open with several options. Hit the "get link" option.
4. Another window will open with the correct link. A short one. That's the link you want to save and use here.

I got suspended for 2 days for bringing clackers to school.
