Title: What is it?
Post by: gene on May 04, 2017, 05:57:24 am
Here's a video from Kim's Upholstery channel. It's 34 seconds long for those of you who are really busy and don't want to click on the link if you are not going to have enough time to watch the video anyway.

I'm thinking it's scrap wood that was used for the sides with no specific intent other than a cheap way to make a chair.

The front piece has hinges in it, I'm guessing it was once attached to the back piece that has dowels to act as stops The front piece comes completely out then swings toward the front of the chair. It only does this on one arm. It was definitely a functional piece of furniture. What for I haven't a clue. Some sort of table perhaps. Sure would like to get a closer look at it.

Ha ha! That is really weird. I honestly can't imagine it has any purpose.
