Title: Backed fabric
Post by: kodydog on August 15, 2016, 04:59:34 pm
Maybe I'm just lucky I don't know. But it seems like I haven't had to work with one of those incredibly fraying fabrics lately. It seems like most of the fabric I've been working with is backed with the spray on glue.

Not to jinx you but I see stripes and stretchy fabric on the horizon in the crystal ball for you !

Several months ago I had a checkered fabric with the spray on glue backing. The threads were so out of alignment, and then set in place with the glue, that the checks were more like trapezoids than squares.  I had a terrible time matching the checks to get straight lines.

Cheaper threads, cheaper loose weaving, stick it all together with glue.  :)
