Title: Glue used for exam tables (vinyl to metal)
Post by: heskettupholstery on April 22, 2016, 07:07:08 am
I'm working with my least favorite type of exam table-the metal ones! I have tried numerous types of glue over the years and can never find one that works correctly! Has anyone found a successful glue for these?

Thanks,
Alison

Just a thought, how about Barge Cement.  I get mine off Ebay.  It is the best contact adhesive I've found.  Get the stuff in the red can with yellow letters.

I use contact cement and have had good results with it.

The best contact cement is solvent based.  When I'm wanting the best possible bond - I coat both surfaces - let dry - and recoat both surfaces again before contact.
Using a felt block or rubber roller press hard to bond

Yes coat both surfaces and I coat the fabric side twice also. Weldwood solvent based is what I use too.
