Factory seating with heating is vinyl or re bonded leather of some sort which is not genuine leather. Some car manufactures, of course, do use Genuine Leather. But the average maker does not. Toyota is a good example. My Prius has heated seats and it is not Genuine Leather. I am not expert at this but I don't see an issue using a good commercial grade vinyl with heated seats.
