I've been reading and joining in a group on Facebook. Called Upholsterers Friendly forum
https://www.facebook.com/groups/582682581756217/
It is interesting to read about their businesses. Seem most of them are in the UK. Just thought I'd pass it on.
Other FB upholstery groups (less UK intensive) are:
Professional Upholstery and Soft Furnishings Group
Upholsterers and Craftsmen
Upholstery Talk
This discussion board is still technically my favorite. But it seems that only about a dozen of us are still propping this one up. And we seem to hash and re-hash the same topics. There just aren't any fresh perspectives here any more.
If you don't mind giving up all privacy, these FB upholstery groups are entertaining and informative.
I will check the others out Denise.
Do most FaceBook members use a pc or have most switched and started using there phone or nook or whatever, I should add Upholstery interested persons to be clearer as Im just curious.
I think the topics are best like this site when a limited number of areas are setup to post in or navigate to.
At this time I use a basic samsung slide open keyboard mobile with small (very small) screen and haven't upgraded much, I do find it a lot easier to carry a phone now than a few years ago though texting is common, Is it still a big deal for others that have the 500.00phones and super data package to only want to use 180 characters. befuddles me (is that really a word)
One last thing is some of the reason movement towards FB that photo posting is included some how?
again Im not yet a member, as some would bring a hammer to educate me on the site and its areas of public, private, and how many separate public areas yada yada yada.
It would be pretty hard to explain here what facebook is.
I use a couple PCs one at home and one at work. Along with a tablet at home and my $600.00 phone to access everything. If your not a tech type you don't have to use anything. I enjoy reading and learning from the internet and other people. Places mainly facebook has opened the world and made it a smaller place. Discussions from all over the world go on and I find it interesting to learn and read about others. Kinda like here but we are mainly from the US and a couple other countries.
