Title: Curtains
Post by: Allan on June 11, 2014, 02:18:25 am
My daughter in law has asked me to sew hems on some curtains
Not being up on this i need to know
How many times the width of a window does the curtain need to be?
The windows are 1200 mm wide or 4 feet

It depends on the fullness you want and also how heavy the material is. Rule of thumb is twice the material, but 1.5 times is realistic, especially for smaller windows such as caravans.
