Title: Consew 226R Bobbin Threading
Post by: babock on December 11, 2013, 02:10:01 pm
OK...stupid question time!

Been a few years since I last ran my machine and I can't for the life of me remember the direction of the bobbin thread.

Don't know but here's a link to the manual.

Looking straight down, I lay the bobbin in the case with the thread exiting at 6 o'clock, and going to the right. Then I U-turn it back to the left and through the slot in the hook assy.

Here's a youtube video. It's out of focus. The bobbin threading starts at about the 5:00 mark.

I have it already. Says thread exits the bobbin from left to right. Problem is that if you are looking from the top, is that from the rear of the machine or front of the machine?

Basically, if you pull on the thread, does the bobbin rotate CCW or CW?

So from that video, it appears that pulling the thread rotates the bobbin CCW.
