Hey All!
Been crazy busy and hoping it will ease up a bit in the next week so I can breath a bit. Have some pictures of completed projects I will post then. Is Photo Bucket the only way to post pictures? Never used it but will learn so I can brag about my successes a bit.
I'm working on seats for the 1912 EMF. Seats have the diamond pattern which I was able to figure out pretty easily. However, I need to get some buttons on hand as close to the originals as possible. I googled buttons, vintage buttons, automotive buttons, classic automotive buttons and a few other things but haven't found anything that resembles what I'm looking for.
Where do ya'll go when needing buttons for car seats?
Thanks as always for your assistance. I hope someday to be able to provide assistance to someone else pretty new in the game!

Can't help you with the vintage buttons. But another good photo uploading/storage website is:

I would try the members at this forum.

The admins will require you to fill out a profile, but once you are signed up on the forum someone there should be able to help you.
I'd check with Dede O'Hair at workroom buttons. She's the guru or buttons.

If they're not covered buttons, there is a place here in town that has tons of buttons.

If it's not in their catalog, they have tons of vintage buttons in their back room. They might be able to work from a photo. I've seen brass buttons in there that look like they were meant for uniforms for 1920's Brass Band and Drum Corps.
Hey Keith!
Thanks for dropping Dede's name. I talked to her just a few minutes ago and I'm sending her one of the original buttons tomorrow along with enough of the replacement vinyl to cover the new buttons and she'll get me fixed up.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
PS. Dede's an absolute doll to talk to: very friendly, knowledgeable, etc. Qualities that can be hard to find these days!
