Title: Help needed for a newbie
Post by: Sewretro on April 16, 2013, 11:17:59 am
Hi all

There isn't a introduce yourself section that I can find so here goes.

My name is Stephanie and I have a little company in England making mens custom bowling shirts and ladies vintage dresses.

A customer came to me asking me to cover a massage table which is ok but I have to do it in vinyl with a thick foam underneath. I had a go and have put the photo's underneath (please don't laugh at my attempt- I draught all of my own patterns for dresses and shirts!)

I've backed myself In to a corner with my corners! Can anyone suggest how else to do them please?

Oh and I've been reading some of your posts and I have to tell you that your work astounds me and I'm in complete awe! I could only dream of being that good! X

Where are you Stephanie?

You have too much material there. You need to cut vees out and pull tight before stapling. I have a photo somwhere of a seat back which is covered and stapled to the backboard, just like that. If it will help, I can email it to you.
