I sas wonderi g about the laborday telethon and just googled this

I read that they were able to only collect 50% of the pledges from last year.

There was a lot of criticism of Dick Clark being rolled out for those few final years at Times Square. I wonder with his son running this telethon if he didn't want to be perceived as rolling Lewis out in the same way.

2010:
173 million raised
34 million spent on telethon
31 million other income
14 million on salaries
26 million other expenses
38 million research

I guess I thought ALL of the money went to research. My naive self was believing that theses so called "stars" donated their time to help these children. $200,000 to some guy to revovate his house!? This very sad
