Looking for leads on bonded poly suppliers. I am always running across the denser poly batting also but can't seem to find suppliers for it. Any leads? Also, what is your favorite material for wrapping foam cushions?
Thanks,
Chuck
For wrapping cushions I just use the regular bonded Dacron. I don't know where you get the dense stuff like you see in outdoor cushions.
I get my bonded Dacron off a supply truck. That way I can feel what I'm buying. If you buy it "sight unseen" over the phone, some of those places will send you rolls of Dacron that feel like a steel wool pad.
Hi Chuck,
I like your web site. Nice job.
If you're talking about poly board, Sunshine Foam in Cincinnati sells it. I would think you could find it closer to KS though. Shipping would be a killer.
It's a cheaper replacement for outdoor foam but I still don't like it. It's just too rigid. Even with a poly wrap it still feels too solid for me. If someone does not want to pay the outrageous prices for outdoor foam, I would prefer not to do the job. I will, but I'd prefer not to.
I use poly batting to wrap my cushions. I use several different thicknesses depending on what final look I want to achieve.

You mean densified polyester? Here's one supplier... Their brand is "nu foam". I'm like Gene. Too hard for my taste.

Also Foam Factory sells Nu Foam...

I've seen the steal wool Dacron and have also seen Dacron that is so airy it flattens down to nothing after a few sitings.
Best to buy from a local supplier and inspect it before paying for it.
I always wrap my cushions with Dacron.
Wow, Chuck, that really is a nice website. The "before and afters" are just great; beautiful work.
You set a high mark for someone without a webisite, my friend!
Took me a sec. to figure what Bobbin was talking about. Then I went to your profile. Beautiful work for sure. Welcome to the forum.
Phenomenal website and high class work.
Cheers,
Chris
