Title: big move
Post by: chrisberry12 on May 09, 2012, 03:11:29 pm
Hi All, Just wanted to let you know I have taken all your advice about pricing in Boston. I have taken a job on Martha's Vineyard and start June 3rd. I am so excited. Maybe I will spend more time on here comparing notes and sharing ideas. Till then my saying has always been "It's better then new"

Good luck Chris.

We once hired a lady stitcher from Martha's Vineyard. She was very good and worked for us for several months. After Hurricane Hugo she decided Charleston wasn't the place for her and moved back to MV. She spoke with a heavy Scandinavian accent. Wouldn't it be wild if she worked for the same place as you. Can't imagine there are very many upholstery shops on MV. She told us it is a great place to live.

Hope all goes well for you.

I don't remember. But if you ever meet a seamstress on Marthas Vinyard that speaks with a Scandinavian accent ask her if she ever lived in Charleston SC. She would probably be in her late 40's now
