Title: help with feet adjustment
Post by: nyuphol on April 29, 2012, 08:49:19 pm
I got this Chandler CM406RBL-18 about a year ago...

A few times in the first month or two the feet started making a

thud thud thud noise like they were going down to far when sewing.

Adjusting the pressure screws did not help when you unscrewed them to

stop the thud thud thud it was then not able to hold the material good.

I then adjusted "screw #1" on the photo and moved the lifting presser foot

up just a little and the machine worked good for 6 months.

The same thud thud thud started again and it was a stressful week. I forgot

to remove the pressure screw before adjusting "screw #1" this time and the

bar sprung down. I was unable to get it back to working again. After a day or two

of anger and frustration I turned way to many bolts and screws now its real out of sync.

Does any one know where everything needs to be to get it back to normal?

Here is the bolts I messed with "bolt #1" "screw 1" "allen bolt 1"

atleast 20 hours of moving adjusting everything by the manual and still can't get it to work

I think the main problem is to do with "allen bolt 1" which is not in the manual I don't even know

why it turned it.
