Title: Pontoon seats

2 year old boat and the seats were shot.
I think the owner may have cleaned them with somthing bad  i never seen any so new so bad.  Anyway good for me

They look great, Mike!  What had happened to the original ones?  did the seams break? or was the vinyl just cracked?  People will never admit to putting something too harsh on their seats, so if the owner really did use something he shouldn't have we'll never know.

Wow, Mike.  Those are just beautiful. 

I am simply a "shop grunt" and I know how much work goes into cranking out nice "skins" and having everything ready for installation.  But I know you install them, too!  I am dazzled.  :)

Nice very nice, can i ask mike how many hours you had in that.im getting a little faster now but the guy i started working for thinks i should be able to do a boat in 3 days i just started a pontoon he wants in 6 days we will see. But very nic you and others here inspire me

Jeep doc that sounds right i had a half dday removing and a half installing and 5 sewing.
June they were dried out some seams letting go from some help from the sun and discolored

The wide made it a point to find out what to use to cleam and keep the seats looking good.

Btw this was the seat with the springs i showed snd needed hogrings

Thanks all it fell good when the owner loves it i hot a $150 tip;)

WOW was that vinyl sunburned  :o  Makes me think the manufacturer didn't use UV protected marine vinyl.  With the damage all facing the sky, I'd bet it's more from sun than anything they used, though harsh chemicals certainly won't help.

Real nice Mike! Can't believe thats 2 years old! I redid one this winter and it wasn't 1/2 as bad after 7 years. And the boat sank twice.
