Title: The problem of trickle down economics is it's a trickle
Post by: Ihavenoname on April 13, 2012, 09:33:06 am
When  my Grandfather turned 80 he complained of a "Trickle."

"You stand there for 3 minutes waiting to only get a trickle."

Although Grandpa was not talking about economics, I get the connection.

I've been waiting over 3 years and the economy is mildly better.

I'm ready for Torrent Economics.

Just a thought for the day.

Thank you.

Me too.  I see the volume of repairs increasing as the weather becomes warmer, and those who live on dividend income (and pay lower taxes!) are more than willing to undertake projects.  But caution is still the operative word when it comes to those who are spooked by present economic numbers.

In my own shop I'm still seeing a lot clothing repair and fielding inquiries about pricing, but many who inquire are not signing on for the work.  I understand! there are a few pet projects around my home I'd like to do but I'm hesitant  given the present economic state.

It took me awhile to understand what your grandfather was talking about.  ;D

This may not be the best thing to say on such a beautiful Friday afternoon, however:

Vote for Obama and you will have 4 more years of trickles. Vote for Romney and you have the potential of having 8 more years of trickles.

The comment was not focused at any one political side for or against.

The comment was a critique on the standard economic theory.

I'm just ready for my turn to run the flow. Again, a trickle is way to slow for me anymore. I don't know why I put up with it.

Trickle down economics is most often related to Reagan economics. Obama economics is not trickle down economics. Obama economics is,
"tax the rich feed the poor till there are no rich no more". (Alvin Lee)

Bonehead don't wait for the economy or the government to turn your trickle into a flowing fountain. Their are plenty of people making fortunes at this time. Nobody can horde all the money and put a fence around it. Make good decisions and wealth will be yours.
