I told my wife that the difference between a laborer and a craftsman is that laborers don't come home from work and watch videos of folks doing the same work that they just did.

Mike, at the end folks can see the wonderful sense of satisfaction you have from doing a great job.

Thanks again for the videos.

"He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist."
― St. Francis of Assisi

Great job Mike.

And great quote Keith. I told my wife we should put that on the back of our business cards.

Watched a video of St Francis. It was kind of hokie but he was a hard working man. He and his followers built a church from the rubble of an abandoned church. Some of the town folk who didn't like his ways burned it to the ground and he rebuilt it again. He was a bit of a hippie commune type fellow. Neat thing is his father was a merchant. Bought and sold fine fabrics.

I just started your wing back chair videos.  I just finished number 2.  GREAT videos!  Very thorough.  Can't wait to get through all of them.  Newbie here trying to learn any way I can.  By the way, I paid good money for "training" videos that aren't nearly as good as what you are putting on Youtube for free.

Thanks Jeremy:  Hope they help you.  I felt it was more important to educate people on what a quality job entails than making a few bucks.

Mike,
I finally finished your wing chair videos.  I can't say enough about them.  It goes without saying that your work in superb.  Your instuction in the videos was very thorough.  I watched the videos while working on a chair.  My chair is very different from your wing chair, but the principles are the same.  Your video's were a great reference tool.  I appreciated that you blindstitched the outside pieces.  I'm going to do the same on my chair.  Need some practice on the blind stitch though.
