I get this error.
An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.
Is it me ? or not......

Took me a while suzi but i can't remember what did the trick
U downloading a pic from tour computor or a webhosted pic ?
My vote, if this were up for a vote, would be to keep your current avatar. That is one cool looking dog.

had trouble in the past witha pic off my Pc so I just use a URL pic. Thought it is a bit distorted. But mine changed suzi
it sounds like a server issue, some files and folders get set to read only
to avoid hacking.
You should be able to do like Mike says, save the pic to photobucket or similar
and just link to it rather than uploading to this server.
