Hi Folks
It would help me promote this website if you would please click here www.facebook.com/upholster.upholstery (http://www.facebook.com/upholster.upholstery) and click "LIKE" for our new UPHOLSTER Facebook business page-Ken
Hi Ken. I'm not familiar with face book but I hear people talk about I "LIKED" your page. Does this give you some kind of bonus points or something? :)
I'm an old fart like K-dog. I always thought Facebook was for chics and teeney boppers. But it has worked it's way into mainstream business. It seems that it's no longer just for people that want to star in their own movie. Many small businesses are opting for a Facebook page instead of a website.
When my daughters were in high school, the social media in vogue at the time was Myspace. While my daughters had the good sense not to get carried away with it, they had many friends who used it as just another teenage way to make each other's lives a living hell.
Even now, some of my friends in their 50's think that I must really give a fat rat that they just took out the garbage, or rearranged their sock drawer.
I'll probably get me one of them pages one day soon (just not today). :)
But if will in any way help Ken, I'll sign up and "Like" the Uph. mag. page.
Its done Ken, I wouldn't mind a like from upholstery magazine myself. My page is mjamsdenfurniture
Yes you do get points-or at least can come up higher on facebook searches. On google if you search upholstery we've been #2 for years.
Mike I LIKED your page.
Ken
Thanks Ken ;D

# 2's not good enough Ken. Who's # 1? Maybe we could take him for a boat ride in the harbor, if you know what I mean. ;)

So you want to "Off" Wikipedia? Fine by me.
You know, it occured to me that submitting a definition for "Upholster Magazine Online" to Wikipedia might provide an additional source of exposure.
The only reason Wikipedia is #1 is because nobody knows how to spell apholstery

I bet that I've taken at least 2 dozen checks over the years that were spelled that way.
I've had a few that were spelled "Applestry".
In the 6th grade, I went to a regional spelling bee. I made it down to the final 2. The other student was given the word "Upholstery". She totally flubbed it. Easiest victory I ever had then, or since (actually, ONLY victory). :)
With me I've had many people tell me they want a new bikini top.

I know a muffler guy in town that says people are always asking about a new Cadillac converter.
I have a friend who says his dogs breed is a Wimerwiner.
And another who swears he has a Rockwilder

This just popped up on my facebook feed today:
http://www.entrepreneur.com/blog/220796
It's an article from Entrepreneur magazine's blog about the value of a facebook "like".
By the way, if you like Entrepreneur magazine, there are lots of good articles on marketing, etc., that can apply to our businesses.
I like the exhilarator pedal. (that's the one on the right)
