Dbr if the shop charges rhe owner 1/3 of what you were going to chage them were they in turn going to tack on 30• or whatever for themselfs ?

The shop was just going to let the owner deal directly with me. They were just doing leg work for the customer and called me to get a price. They had mistakenly told the customer a "guess" price before talking to me. You know how it goes, their price is what the customer decided the job was worth. They figured they could do it at the price they originally quoted. After completing the job they realized my price was appropriate. They lost money but learned a lesson. No hard feelings, they're great guys.
