If Mitsubishi has its way, they'll all be digital and operate like iPhones within 10 years.

Great! More things to distract the driver.  :(
There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.

"Distract the driver" was one of Granpappy Jacks favorite phrases. Every couple years he'd order a white Plymouth Fury sedan. No power steering or brakes. Crank up windows, radio delete. Betty Crocker interior. But they always had a V8 and AC in em?

It's interesting - most of the younger generation, who tend to be more tech savy, don't find such technology distracting. On the contrary, they find that it makes the driving experience more engaging.

This is most likely the reason why automakers are ignoring claims of 'distraction' and pursuing high-tech gadgets more and more. They're not thinking of today's drivers, rather tomorrows.
