Title: Bonded Cotton padding
Post by: baileyuph on January 28, 2012, 04:53:44 pm
Anyone using bonded cotton?

Excellent product for furniture restoration and auto as well, my supplier stopped stocking it.  Need a name of a supplier for 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch.

It cuts and sews easily, excellent padding over springs.

Thanks in advance,

Doyle

Is this what you're calling bonded cotton? (this is an old piece I took off a chair today)

Can't remember what. I'm just as happy with the dense polyester padding they have now.

Do you know where it can viewed?

Can't find a pic, but Neo Fabrics catalog lists it as stock # 025.PAD12
Description: White spring padding  1/2" X 32" X 10 yards
I'm sure they'll send you a sample.

Yeah, we quit carrying that also.

We switched to an Ozite carpet pad.  It's less expensive, same functionality, more durable, lifetime warranty, and has a "green" story (it's 100% recycled pop bottles).  All of our guys like it better.
