General Discussion / slip cover quote
November 17, 2010, 05:41:35 am
I need a little help here folks. Boss is out of town wants me do a quote on a slip cover for a sofa and chair I've never seen in an unknown fabric.  ::). I've never done a slip cover. :'( Anybody have a ball park on hours and yards? Sorry to be so vague, but I'm working with nothing here. BTW customer's budget is $300. Is that even doable?

Hey Y'all; It's only taken 5 months, but I finally found a place for Buddy and I before the snow flies. (just) . Until I get internet set up here in Brandon I'll be weekends only if I'm back in Kenora. Don't think I've bailed LOL. I'll be checking my other email account until then from work/library/ etc... djhenry@shaw.ca

About to unplug ,  I'll check in over the weekend if I make it home.

Hope for some suggestions please. Any experience with $ and time would be huge as well thanks.

General Discussion / Lost link to manuals-- singer
October 06, 2010, 07:03:02 pm
Way back when the air was clean and sex was dirty ; one kind member sent me a link to all  of singer's operator's manuals and repair manuals.  I've lost it  :'(.

I just hauled the bosses' old 114wsv37 long arm singer out from under the tarp tonight and need help. There is a nasty  knock somewhere near where the two halves of the arm connect [should that "transfer case" be packed with grease?/oil bath?] and what is that lever on the back of the machine just right of the "transfer case" there for?

If some one can post that again, :-*  please; the guy looking at the 211W155 and I would be grateful.

General Discussion / Morbid, but cool

Completely unrelated to what this site is about; but we've ben friends for so long I had to share. I was back home yesterday for my nephew's high school grad. As you know Mom passed away 24 April. Sheila (my sister) had cleaned out Mom's closet and presented us all with an unusual remebrance of Mom before Tyler's service. She had taken Mom's most "signature" outfits and had them made into quilts. They each had our names embroidered on top and Mom's dates on the bottom. there are pieces of her favorite jeans, That frilly pink sweater she loved, etc.. in everyone's little "blankey". Chokes me up , but thought it was unique and something someone might want to think about when they have to deal with this.
