Title: Fabric direction
Post by: Wisegirl1 on July 19, 2022, 08:36:57 am
I am struggling with finding an upholstery fabric that I love to redo my two Thayer Coggins sofas.  Most fabrics seem to be "up the roll".  I do not want a seam in the front or back of the 80" sofa, so I need to railroad the fabric.  That will make the pattern lines run horizontally on the sofas.  I have never seen anything other than vertical lines on a sofa in a store.  I just spent an hour converting two photos to .jpg files and they still won't upload.  So, just give me your opinion on turning a fabric that will result in a horizontal pattern on the sofa.

Hey there! What do you mean by "up the roll"?  What dimensions would you need your fabric in?
