Does anyone still use a 241-12. Singer. I have one for parts

Inside a stool I found cigarette filters  for stuffing.  Why would any one do that ?

Motor running good but when I push down pedal it seems to slip will not move machine.  What's wrong

I can't get glue gun to spray ,  it just blows bubbles.  does anyone have any ideas how to get it to spray?
