So this thing is a few years old now:

I wonder if they need redoing? Like, the heavy partying must be really hard on the upholstery and stuff...

I'll work for free if they let me borrow it.

And maybe an enclosure...

Half-Fast

Two scenarios...

A Dodge Pick-up, a Corvette, and a Baja jet-boat hooked up at a party, did some drugs and a few other things while their parents weren't watching.  Which one gave birth, and which two were the "baby daddys"

-or-

A mad scientist extracted dna from each of the above, mixed them in a petri dish and let it incubate in the shop for a while.

Doesn't matter either way... it's on my bucket list ! ! !  ;D

And they run real well on the water. Serious horsepower.

Don't get one Peppy. I can't see a cord up front so guess they didn't include a block heater and am guessing the ski package for "stiff water " use is going to be pricey.

:P :P :P

But seriously: I've been fascinated by these vehicles for decades. They have been around since at least the 60"s . The technology was there decades before otherwise the Commonwealth and U.S wouldn't have been at Dieppe (Canadian/U.K history) or Normandy.

??? Why has no one been able to get one to production??

Darren:

I am not sure but I believe the car in the video is in small production in California, but I am not 100 % sure.
I forgot the price but lets just say none of us on here is going to be able to afford one. :) Seems like it was $ 150 K but I could be wrong.

That thing sure sounds tough. I will have to do some digging and find out some specs. If I find anything I will post it here...........if for no other reason then for kicks and grins. :)

Darren, thats the best thing about it! When the lake freezes you put chains on the tires and a blade on the front. You could plow the lake and if the ice ever broke you'd be set!

I think in the article they do say they're about 150k. Then you buy an engine. Like I said, I'll do some top notch work, I'll just need to keep it for about 8 or 9 weeks.

I saw an even better one for a plow truck. Two brothers were retired car engineers and built one on tracks that had some pretty impressive stats.I wish I could remember where I saw that clip.

Right on. Like that VW bug with tracks in that 'green room' thread. Although I think the bug would be cool with a blower, on the back maybe.

I do like the idea of a snow plow ice breaker. It'd be pretty funny seeing it go across the frozen lake leaving open water behind it.

I had to get Dad to dig this back up for me; but here is one amazing concept vehicle, especially if you consider that it was 1924.

Thats really something Darren! Looked like it worked pretty good! I bet the horse would've liked a lift!

Still, not quite as sexy as the car/boat with a plow. Handsome guy driving it though. Is that you then?

Darren, that thing is awesome. And to think you got to see that being operated back in 1924. :)

Just teasing ya. Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed it and watched the whole thing.

You dah man........:)

Awesome.

Boating all year!

And the best part is it uses the entire boat except the trailor, which may be reatatched for summer use.
