General Discussion / cordless
April 07, 2014, 02:08:58 pm
Don't laugh, but I haven't owned one since 02 it crapped out then. I did buy one for work in 2010 a do all type, big and on sale. Since I retired and at home I have several corded and all are old and well used mainly concrete and steel, so One for the biz is needed and im considering what I might need it for most and I need one for driving small stud type screws for snaps and such. Do any of you all like a model that you use over another, I glanced at the small ones with whatever the newest batteries are ion I thought. I have to look at some handy types out there a bit more before any decisions are made and I am proud to say your opinions matter a great deal.

The Business Of Upholstery / machine items
April 01, 2014, 05:00:17 pm
Have a question for some please, I need to know what line on schedule c is best for listing needles, bobbins and pressure feet. I am having brain drain around lines 18, 22, or 27 other. Sometimes these things make me want to jump back under a truck.

The Business Of Upholstery / Minimum Expenditure
March 17, 2014, 07:24:54 am
I wanted to get some more understanding on this topic kindly if possible, mostly listen and learn some things anyway.
As I understood in the recent past a paper or document had to be issued or distributed describing a minimum amount limit effective the 1st of the year for establishing capital expense or fixed asset type purchases.
I am sure most everybody has an idea or there finance person has given an opinion on such stuff.  Now I recall in my earlier career a yearly new set of codes and such it seemed like.
I am just now wondering an amount considered in the norm for now, I do understand others have different situations that could or have to have certain structure to there rules.
If this goes anywhere thank you, if not its a thought

General Discussion / Small item storage
March 10, 2014, 06:42:07 pm
Can I put this up for some ideas needed for myself and possibly others can use also.
I am looking at small storage options for snaps and there seems to be several types in use, I probably could use some storage for this in a mobile situation also. Now if anyone is at the bench or table of course  a bigger option could be needed or wanted so those comments are most welcome. I am finding things need space and you most likely have the good answers.
If its blue and at wallgreens I can take a look, or red and at wallyworld I have a day to stop there also.

Thanks Everyone

General Discussion / E-Z ?
February 20, 2014, 09:21:30 am
Good morning everyone, For you all that have or want an E-Z die cutter plier for turn fasteners or lift the dot types. (me my arms raised I want one)
Do you use your other tools you used prior to this purchase back at the shop or work area, I am seeing several types and choices to consider and weather I will use them much if others are purchased. The setter tool looks pretty handy if you have a place to hammer, this along with the hand punch cutters both types at a proper use location. That seems tough on a boat so I wanted to hear from you all that have been doing this for quite sometime in different settings. They say there is no wrong question so can I get some input here, the price of dies, pliers, hole punch size, Im just talking fastener stuff and its enough to uh whatever. Thanks

Good day

I just need to try and understand it better, and for actual training !.
