General Discussion / Re: Outdoor cover fabric
September 10, 2013, 01:00:26 pm
Looking at the factory site of Marlen i see they have an interesting fabric / properties page and fabric finder page that is comparing the choices they offer, kinda neat i was going back and forth so i just printed them, Im sure they will continue to impress. I would just get quantities in an amount for future jobs i suppose, the normal planning you all do.  I realy want to ask others for there experiance on some materials like having fabrics look the same but different water or breathability on top and sides, Is this used much.?
I can do the charts but first hand knowledge, (experiance) is different.
Thanks to this place and supporters.
Good day

Another Quality Missouri Company, not suprising.

Mike
I do have a question for ya, Just want to say from a pro "listener" here thanks for all your guys and gals input on the site here.
Sounds like you stay pretty busy, Rock On.  The ole shop walk can be as good as a coffee or smoke when i did, but now coffee and walk or probably no walk as it has to be reheated.

? whats the norm for stitch per inch on your trailering or mooring covers.
Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Can you help with spray guns?

The drain could be purchased at an auto parts probably easier,  if i might suggest only because i have had more problems with the little wings finger just turning freely in past situations from draining these tanks for 35 plus years in garages and mobile vehicles. I have found though if a heavy duty " street " 90 fitting can be taped and installed in the tank a 2 buck 1/4" ball valve can be used. I realy found these work super, especialy if the handle has some clearance. My input basicly is stop by ace hardware with the old piece, good luck take tommorow off and let ace do the work.
Good Day

The Business Of Upholstery / Re: Pfaff's new owners

Paul  I read on Pfaff America's site they are or part of the company is "under one roof" with Durkopp Adler and this might be in Kaiserslautern Germany. I thought from looking at other stuff you all brought up i seen something about main tooling and parts in Czech Rep. for the company possibly, dont hold me to that though.
Good Day

Bobbin I think this at 25.00 will work for you #43760 especialy with any of the oil base types, its a clone of the binks no. 7 I have had different brands and most all parts can be attainable from the local auto paint mixer/auto parts its likely you will only use 20-40 psi. as thats the norm.  Everyone should have one for glue or primer but I would keep the water base a seperate one so please consider 2, hope this helps

Chris thanks, I read that the ptfe solarfix stuff is pretty darn tough and the newest and greatest.  I have as many are curious on guages for some types of jobs, or parts of them. Its nice to no a place where everyone can pick up some tips, thanks to everyone on that. Anyhow I have ordered some small parts and pieces from a few places getting an understanding of there position, and did talk to both Bob and Bobby with good help so a thumbs up to them.
Good Day

The Business Of Upholstery / Re: training
August 11, 2013, 08:02:58 am
Wow this quickly went somewhere,  I guess theres a line between inital experiance training or intrade to be determined by someone.  Then possibly training after that can be looked at, The first part probably has to be signed off by yourself CEO or maybe a CPA Im sure somewhere there is wording thats straight forward enough,  I just havent read or remember reading it.  Improvement training is basicly a plain read and all good, but most of everyone here has to look way back in experiance to recall inital type so its where does that line inital and improve split.  If i make it more interesting and say buy a weeks worth of training or a new basic 1541.  How and who determines, i mean if its on paper and a measurement i can measure up or get more.
Not a big deal just whos grading and whats the rule.  I / dont hold me to this heard, some States have some kind of process that has to be held to for some material or fabric and upholstery.  That im not familar with at all so movin on.
Batter UP!

I want to put this up for some discussion, What "inital" type training deductions can be used for tax deduction purpose's and what defines this.  This would be under sole / llc type business setup.
I just need to try and understand it better, and for actual training !.
Just some basic stuff here please, Im not writing a new ammendment.

Yep i seen it,  looks as though no one can afford to live in the cities that were built.
And or the investing that they are doing is so divided up,  maybe 300 citizens own a single flat/or whatever.  I had also seen there same investment in west coast of africa city, no one lived there just an empty city.
